Maximilien Robespierre

Robespierre was an Enlightenment thinker whose displayed his ideas to the public, leading to the overthrowing and eventual execution of the King and Queen.  He made policies to protect the rights of the people of France, dubbing him the name of the Incorruptible.  However, all good things must come to an end, and the same went for Robespierre.  Not long after taking control of France, the Incorruptible would eventually become corrupted through his immense power and going back on his own policies.  The people finally thought that Robespierre was going too far, and he would be executed at the Guillotine.
