Water

Humans need water every single day, and all living things on this planet need it for their survival. However, water is becoming increasintly scarce because of dams, engineering, pollution, and many other factors. National Geographic studies estimated that by 2025, 1.8 billion people around the world will live in “extreme water scarcity”.

Education and technology are two ways we can help stop water scarcity. If we educate people about this topic, they are more likely to help. Also, if high-tech alternate hydropower resources are found, this can greatly affect the amount of water in the world. I think the society has the power to make these decisions, not the government. If a hydropower plant wants to build the dam and they have approval from local areas, then so be it. But the government shouldn’t have the power to control these things.
